On July 26, 2015, the Royal Thai Air Force dispatched two F-16 and two Gripen fighter aircraft to strike the strategic region of Cambodian military objectives at Phu Makhuea, after the Cambodian military planned to utilise curved weaponry to shoot at the Thai side in the goal of conquering Phu Makhuea, and another place near Prasat Ta Muean Thom was where the Cambodian military stationed artillery and soldiers to fire randomly at the Thai side.

The operation was successful in destroying both objectives, and the aircraft returned safely to the base.
